Kidnapping threat feared in Sinai

For a long time now, the government has been advising Israelis to avoid Sinai, and Israelis nevertheless continue to go. Meanwhile, Sinai has become an international terror center. Now, there's a new threat and it's directed specifically at Israelis: Kidnapping.

This morning's Jerusalem Post and HaAretz are reporting that the anti-terrorism branch in the Prime Minister's Office has issued a 'severe warning' to Israelis vacationing in the Sinai Peninsula, urging them to return to Israel immediately. Will the Israelis listen?

Frankly, I doubt it.
