Tell it to Karnit, you moron!

Back in October, when Ehud K. Olmert gave Karnit Goldwasser, the wife of kidnapped IDF soldier Ehud Goldwasser, a hug, I advised her that she was being too kind to him. At the time I wrote, "I hope that the next time Karnit Goldwasser, kidnapped IDF solder Ehud Goldwasser's wife, meets with Olmert, she gives him a good swift kick somewhere rather than a hug." After today, Karnit should be more ready to give him that kick where it hurts. Today, Olmert said something even more stupid than anything else he has said in his brief term in office.
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Monday that Israel stopped last summer's war in Lebanon, despite the failure to free kidnapped reservists Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev, in order to save other soldiers' lives.

"If they're alive, and I hope they're alive, it's better for them to remain in captivity a little longer than for other soldiers be killed," Olmert said.
What the %$#@? Isn't this the army that doesn't leave men behind in the field? What does a stupid statement like that say to each and every IDF combat soldier who goes off into battle? That the Prime Minister - whose kids are all draft evaders - is going to abandon you so that someone else doesn't have to risk their life. That's really going to encourage soldiers to go out into battle now, isn't it?

And what are you telling Karnit, Ehud? That her husband's life is less valuable than those of other IDF soldiers? That you're not willing to take any risks to save him?

After reading his next statement, I'm convinced that Olmert isn't just smoking something - he's on drugs.
Earlier, Olmert told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that Israel must engage Syria in the fight against Kassam rocket attacks against southern Israel. Israel, Olmert asserted, must inform the Arab country that it would be required to take steps to ensure that Kassam attacks are at least significantly reduced, if not eliminated entirely.
Forget for a minute that 'significantly reduced' is a bunch of you-know-what. Let Olmert go live in Sderot with a rocket falling once a month instead of three times a day and see how long he wants to play Russian roulette. But is he out of his mind? He's expecting the Syrians to stop the rockets for him? And what does he think Bashar al-Assad will say to that? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

But wait, there's more of this delusional stupidity:
Since Israel has had difficulty stopping the fire of Kassam rockets through military means, it is therefore necessary to pursue the cease-fire, Olmert continued, maintaining that Israel must consider any approach that would put a halt to the rocket attacks.

"The military campaign [in Gaza] did not stop the Kassams," he said. "We have to try ways that will stop them."
You got that folks? Hunting down the Kassam cells didn't work well enough, so now we're going to try to play Tiddlywinks with them. Damned moron! But wait. There's more: Earlier today I blogged about all the Syrian weaponry and 'intelligence agents' who are streaming into Beirut, and who will remain regardless of whether or not the Siniora government is overthrown. What's the one thing that MIGHT be able to shake them? An Israeli attack on Syria. Not while this moron is in power:
Olmert made it clear in his speech that Israel had no plans to attack Syria.

"Anyone in Syria who is concerned [about an Israeli offensive] can just calm down," the prime minister said. "Israel will not attack Syria, just as Israel did not attack Syria during the war in Lebanon," he continued.
And finally, Olmert had something to say to the bullies who kicked sand in his face:
The prime minister emphasized that Israel had made no connection between the cease-fire in Gaza and a cease-fire in the West Bank and that "we won't speak with parties that want to harm us, such as Hamas and Syria."
Hey Brainless - if you expect the Syrians to stop the Kassams for you, aren't you going to tell them that?

Fellow Israelis, this is it. Either this moron goes or we can start packing. And would the last one out, please turn out the lights.

It's offensive to morons to associate Olmert with them.

(Do you know that they tell jokes in Chelm about us?)
