Gaza's 'great food shortage'?

Al-Guardian reports in Sunday's editions about a 'great food shortage' that's 'afflicting' Gaza as a result of - what else? - "the destruction of great areas of farmland during Israel's invasion" (Hat Tip: Memeorandum).

I wonder if they mean this food shortage from January 14:

Or perhaps this one from Lauren Booth's visit in November when they also said there was a food shortage:

Of course, if there really was a food shortage, these from 2005, when the mean Israelis ruled Gaza, might have helped:

Too bad the 'Palestinians' turned them into weapons tunnels instead.

Here's what I think of all these claims that there's a 'food shortage' in Gaza:

I guess they can always eat Chicken Little, can't they?

More at Yourish where SnoopyGoon apparently has more patience for al-Guardian's claims than I do.

If Israel was trying to starve them, we'd see pictures to that effect out in the world media by now. But why would a "food shortage" concern people who love death? I mean, dying is a great thing, so what does it matter if you have a full belly? Hamas can't quite seem to make up its mind as to what it really wants!

I was hoping you would have a picture that I saw but forgot to copy - that of them BURNING food Israel sent in - using the Israeli Flag to light it all, of course.
