Brazilian blogger David Bor informs me (via email) that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is going to be in Rio de Janeiro on November 23, and that the local Jewish community plans to greet him wearing yellow stars like the one pictured at top left.

I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Course he will. He is not stupid. It won't change him though, and I don't know what good it will do to turn oneself into a victim in this way. We need to confront Ahmadinerjad in a smarter way.
