Sean Bielat within the margin of error against Barney Frank

According to an internal poll by the campaign of Sean Bielat, Bielat is within the margin of error against incumbent Barney Frank (D-Ma) in Massachusetts' 4th Congressional district.

I grew up in Mass. 04 and I cannot remember the last time the district had a competitive election. But Bielat, who is much more strongly pro-Israel than is Barney Frank, is giving Frank a run for his money.

Here's an internal Bielat campaign memo that discusses the poll:
Ace of Spades is running a contest to pick the upset that no one saw coming. I'm not sure that Bielat over Frank would qualify anymore.

Last week, Barney Frank even had to give his campaign an emergency loan of $200,000 of his own money. This correlates with what I've read elsewhere that the Democrat Natl Committee's election arm has cut off funding for those neck-and-neck races they consider probable losers, and sent the money to races where Democrats have a better chance.

Here's an article from the solidly liberal Al Reuters. As with all Reuters "journalism", you have to read between the lines to get anything from it. This sugar-coated Reuters article at this tinyurl- tinyurl.com/344v69c -is chock full of bad news for Barney Frank. Polls show Frank and Rep. opponent Sean Bielat neck-and-neck, within the margin of error.

People said Republican Scott Brown couldn't take Ted Kennedy's seat, so Mass. voters may very well show Barney to the long-overdue exit!
