Druze soldier, missing for seven years, found dead
Halabi disappeared while traveling from his home to his base in Tirat Carmel near Haifa.Israel Radio reports that a knife was found buried in the tree trunk on which Halabi's body was found hanging. Sounds like murder, probably terrorism. The IDF has not yet determined how long Halabi has been dead.
He was last seen at a bus station in his hometown Daliyat al-Karmel located on the slopes of the Carmel mountain. He was formally declared missing in action (MIA) on June 6, 2005.
The funeral is set for Friday morning.
