Tel Aviv to be first to get new hi tech transport system

This is another post that got pushed aside by Operation Pillar of Defense. Tel Aviv may be the first city in the world to get a new hi tech transportation system.
The skyTran uses two-person modules that drive along a guide rail suspended from existing power lines. Magnets in the vehicle create a magnetic field around the metal coil inside the rail, causing the vehicle to lift up and glide 60 miles per hour on a cushion of air. The system uses very little energy and potentially could be powered entirely by solar panels.
“Our objective is to build a pilot project here so that we can make Israel the center of the skyTran world,” CEO Jerry Sanders tells ISRAEL21c.
The first route, on which construction could begin next spring, would run from the high-tech center in Atidim through the Tel Aviv University train station to the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Port. Another installation might be placed on Netanya’s congested east side and a third would take people into and around Ariel Sharon Park, a huge public “green belt” in central Israel.
Personal rapid transit (PRT) alternatives are in hot demand worldwide – especially in big countries such as China and India — as a means to relieve traffic jams and energy consumption. Underground solutions are expensive and street-level solutions just add more congestion.
“We are the most sophisticated PRT on the market … and also the least expensive, greenest and most efficient,” asserts Sanders.

Let's go to the videotape.

I can't bring myself to watch the video. NASA. "The cost of implementing skyTran is estimated at $9 million per mile"

Is it about 30 miles from TAU to Jaffa? So $270 mil to install. Who is paying for that? Is it a grant, loan guarantee? Israeli 100% or is the U.S. paying? Announced on Nov 8, two days after the election?

If the business case has not resulted in this thing being financed by private funds raised, then it is a perfect example of OBAMA'S GREEN $LU$H. Hopefully, it is a private sector project. If not: Congratulations and is it worth it?

PS I'm googling and don't yet see funding info. But I'll keep looking.

PSS I heard they are cutting 20k US Marines, which wrecks their career path, in order to come up with the $6 Bil "Asia" green fund they announced last week. I *hope* this project is not involved with that action.

More info (that I can't read!). Maybe it says what the funding arrangements are:

I just want to know (if the funding is Green $lu$h from the U.S.) whether the amount of the funding for this project is dependent on your doing what the Obama Muslim Brotherhood Team says. Is it being held over your Green Govt Start Up people's heads and will it be at risk if you refuse to allow your civilians to be threatened, rocketed, bombed, by responding decisively? I don't pretend to know very many at all of the intricacies of these matters, but having the Green $lu$h play any role will be informative. Accepting the Green Slush will count as accepting stolen property at this point, not as being successful at making a buck in the competitive market... BTW, more e-mails are leaking and some are calling for the Green $lu$h people to do prison time. Just FYI. (Of course, it won't happen because the Dems are protecting the gunrunners, etc., and the Reps have no balls. It's become a criminal enterprise.)

Exclusive: DOE corruption—appointed and elected officials should face prison time
