Shimon Peres: Still a traitor after all these years

Please forgive me for using an incendiary description that would set off an awful lot of Israelis if they knew how to read English, but there is simply no other word to adequately describe this: Shimon Peres is a traitor to the State of Israel.
Peres claims Abbas showed "courage" by seeking the status upgrade at the United Nations in the face of strong opposition from Israel and the United States, which hold that a Palestinian state can only emerge out of direct negotiations.
"He has shown courage not only by going to the United Nations, which I think -- from a point of view of time -- was the wrong time, but he stood up and said 'I am against terror, I am for peace'," the Israeli president said.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu might say otherwise, as the PM lamblasted Abbas for what he called a "venemous speech" that Abbas made in front of the UN when he was pleading his cause. "The world watched a defamatory and venomous speech that was full of mendacious propaganda against the IDF and the citizens of Israel. Someone who wants peace does not talk in such a manner," said Netanyahu.
What the.... ( I won't even fill in the first letter of the third word)?  Abu Bluff showed 'courage' by staying away from peace talks for four years - including ten months in which Netanyahu gave him the gift of a 'settlement freeze' - and then taking advantage of the automatic majority in the UN General Assembly? Abu Bluff showed he was 'against terror and for peace' by standing up in front of the world and slandering Israel from the podium of the United Nations?

I don't even have to ask whose side Peres is on. I know already. And it sure isn't our side.
